John Lewis home insurance ad

This was an editing task, cutting down a 1.35 min video into just 1 minuet, whilst remaining the flow and keeping the important aspects of the advert. The skills I required for this task was editing, cutting and sequencing, adjusting and editing audio and soundtrack. Selection and placement and link overall meaning 
 



Kuleshov Editing techniques

One of the editing techniques we learn is the Kuleshov experiment. the Kuleshov experiment demonstrates several clips by which viewers obtain more meaning from the interaction of two (or more) sequential shots than one isolated single shot. The skills developed in this task were creating shot sequences including 3 different cutaways demonstrating the importance of insert shots.

Editing deodorant ad

For my second task in Media Studies I edited a deodorant advert and tried out all different editing techniques such as monochrome colouring, cutting and side transitions, I also pieced it with some additional music to go with the clip.
